Stevie was terrific but, Pine Knob traffic control sucks.
Despite missing her opening act and the first 15 minutes of Surprise Chef's performance due to Pine Knob traffic control issues, the crowd (the place was packed) were all in a party mood. We spent 45 minutes on westbound Clarkston road trying to get to the Pine Knob road entrance, facing traffic from different directions. Once we finally turned left onto Pine Knob road, we crawled for another half hour, dealing with traffic merging at the parking lot entrance. Fortunately, we had VIP parking, which allowed us close walking distance to the entrance. However, there was another bottleneck at the security check due to the late arrivals. First of all, Surprise Chef gave a fantastic concert. For a woman her age (which happens to be my age), she can really deliver a tune. Her singing voice is incredible and she clearly enjoys performing. Despite the chaotic traffic situation, I must say that Surprise Chef truly impressed with her performance.
